The secret to a successful business? There is no secret.
But there are plenty of things that can work against you, giving you a pretty slim chance of fighting through and hitting your stride . Overthinking, isolation, exhaustion, hesitation, confusion...sound familiar? Now put all of that on repeat and you now have the spin cycle that is business ownership.
My role as a consultant in your business is to listen, assess and to help you strategise. A pseudo business partner. As much as we all get the heebie jeebies thinking about the "corporate world" there is one thing they do well, and that's having sounding boards all around you. Colleagues to discuss things with, manager to make the final decision for you, team leaders to drive the projects, support staff to help you keep it all together. Somewhere in amongst all that hierarchy is the key to making a business work. You will be surprised by the power in focussed discussion around your biz, and even more surprised how little you actually do it.
As a small business owner you need to build yourself a trusted eco-system full of people who are as invested in your business success as you are.
There is no "one size fits all" approach that works for every business, so before anything we need to understand what you need as a priority to take the step that's holding you back right now. We need to work towards your BIG vision by taking those single steps towards it, no matter how daunting it can seem.
I don't create business plans or put you through a generic program. I give you the resources, support and guidance to GET SH*T DONE. There is enough talk and noise around you as a leader, what you need is someone who call you on your BS, kick you into action and give you some urgency around the right things to get you past whatever is in your way.
For me to be effective in your business I need to understand where you've been, where you are now and what you are aiming for. I only work with businesses where there is symmetry with my past experience and my approach to business, otherwise there will be no magic made! If the fit isn't there, I refer clients over to other consultants and coaches that are better suited without hesitation. Because at the end of the day I want to see all businesses rise, and I'm comfortable in the reality that I am not the right person to do that for everyone.
